I thought I'd posted here already.. but I guess not.
I'm Rivvie! Huge RPG fan, but I play all kinds of games. There is not a genre that I don't like at least a little of. I don't like flat out sports games, but I like the mario versions. I'm a huge fan of the Baldur's Gate series, and Bioware in general.
I love mods. My Sims games (1 and 2) have crashed too many times to count because of all the custom content. Since I have discovered BG modding, I haven't had a BG game with less than 10 mods on it.
I'm also very much into angst, drama, romance, comedy.. I love reading. In fact, the only thing that I dislike in RPGs is constant, cookie-cutter battles.
In college right now to become an RN, so I don't have much time for gaming anymore.
I'll stop here, I always did ramble too much. |

Hi everybody the name is Hans and goes by the nick chilly_2012..... coz I like chily, spicy food, and chill out music and the 2012 is just a year.
From the day I was born, I always liked RPG games, started playing final fantasy when I was 6 and untill now 20 years later I never stop playing RPGs. And am a big fan of BG II, never liked the new D & D tho, played neverwinter nights once and never again.
I discovered the mods when I was searching for startegy guides against the red dreaded dragon Firkhraag, and found Saerileth instead (love the mod) and eventually the Forum.
It's a one lovely forum. _________________ eheu... eheu... eheu... spicy....! |

Since I've already made a couple of posts in other threads, I may as well sign the guestbook, as it were.
From the information input into my profile, you can already see my age gender and astrological sign - and you didn't even buy me a drink.
Since I'm here posting this, I'm obviously a gamer who enjoys RPG's. I play them for the stories. There are few things I enjoy more than a deep, compelling story. As you've probably already inferred, my other hobby is reading. I suppose this is partly why I've my way here. Characters and quests created by modders here and elsehwere embelish the story of BG2, one of my all time favorite games. How could I resist?
I'm not a very social person (as you can see from the scores I posted from a personality test in another thread), so I likely won't be posting much here. I'm far more likely to communicate via private message than public forum - if at all.
So there you have it. My introduction. I could go on, but... I wouldn't want to scare you away too soon. |

Hello all. I am Lord Michael, and have been gaming for several years. Started with AD&D, and have been through the entire Baldur's Gate saga a couple times. I have decided to try & take 1 character the whole way through , and have finished BGI/TotSC. I came here after checking out IronWorks, and hearing about this thing called "Mods". I guess I must be terribly naive, because the thought never crossed my mind, until now.....
Seriously considering modding as I start Shadows of Amn. Any ideas on great mods with no bugs will be greatly appreciated, as well as installation information. My apologies if my ignorance is laughable, this seems like the place to enlighten me.
Thanks, and it's been a pleasure reading threads here! _________________ "Heya....." -Noober

Hi Michael!
As for mods...there are so many good ones, it's hard to know where to begin.
BG2 fixpack would be good, as it is required for a few mods.
I would also recommend the flirt packs over at Pocket Plane Group.
Ascension (WeiDU version) is also very good.
There are also many many excellent NPC mods out there. I tend to play exclusively female characters, so my preferences run towards those that are romanceable by female NPCs. You may be looking for different things in a NPC.
A list has been developed here: http://modlist.pocketplane.net/
It includes all different kinds of mods from many groups. _________________ "In this world of miracles, there's nothing wrong we can't make right." - Let There Be Light from Feeling Electric

Thanks, Akasha! PocketPlane seems to be the spot. You are the second to reccommend the flirt packs, so that's a definite possibility. I think I'm gonna try the Saerileth mod, even though my CharName has only a 14 Charisma (18 with some magicks, tho). Should be interesting to see how it unfolds.....
Hey, what's this about the "Improved Anvil" mod? Have you tried it? What does it do? _________________ "Heya....." -Noober

Well, I'm new to the forums. In a way. I've been prowling around them for a long time. I enjoyed the Tsujatha, Fade and Nathaniel mod muchly.
I'm wanting to learn how to use the modding programs, and I have a mod idea in my head. My favorite color is green and I like sushi. You can call me Gabriel. |
